What can I say after waiting for this adventure for a year? My wife said my hopes and inspirations were too high. Well, the Kowas team has exceeded even my high expectations. My thanks to your wonderful family and dedicated staff. I always felt welcomed and the pleasant courteous Strauss family always strove to make my stay enjoyable. Danie, your attitude and dedication to hunting and conservation is to be commended. It is passion and dedication such as yours that keeps our hunting heritage alive and strong!!!

As I read through this book, I find all sorts of superlatives repeated over and over and I can only answer “Amen” to them all! After Kirby and I spent 2 weeks touring Namibia and part of South Africa, one have found these 18 days here to be an oasis of pleasurable times: abundance not only of game, but of peace, love and joy. I could list each act of thoughtfulness but it would take far too much space, but rest assured that one is appreciate them very much. Once again, we thank you for your hospitality and most especially for your loving friendship. You all are so special to us.

As the end come to a day that I wish would never end, allow me to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kindness you have shown sister and me during our stay with you at Kowas. What a special place with such special people. As every aspect, you have exceeded our expectations. Your staff is second to none and their fondly smiles have made us feel like family.

Everyone has gone that “extra smile” to make our time with you memorable. The food, the ambience and the setting are truly 5 star. Sister thoroughly enjoyed the outings with Ansie, Morné and Jacques as you showed her your part of our world. The hunting expeditions were challenging and great – and I am delighted with my 5 gold and 1 silver medal from NAPHA.

You all have something very unique and special here at Kowas and we appreciate you sharing it with us. Getting to know all of you as friends have been a special treat. Continue to leave the woodpile higher than you found it!

13 September 2005 – Dr Roger + Tom Leutz:
It was a true pleasure to spend these moments of our lives with you. They will be cherished. Pronking springbucks and galloping Kudus along with the myriad of other animals will forever make their mark on our soul. The excitement of the hunt was maximum. Christi and Jacques were just excellent guides. When people talk of falling in love with Africa, I can see why. Not only is it stunning scenery, African’s hospitality is second to none.
